Looking for Natural Weight Loss Remedies?

My ValentineWith valentines day almost upon us it is a perfect time to start looking at natural weight loss remedies for you and your loved one. There are a whole lot of weight loss products out there, but most of them are either ridiculous or completely unsustainable.  Who can afford a $500 per month special meal plan?  Who wants to continuously take “mysterious” pills that are stuffed full of goodness-knows-what that only take off a pound or two?  The natural weight loss remedies we will explore here today are aimed at getting you and your valentine to your healthy weight (naturally, of course) and in a way that is effective for the long term.

Natural Weight Loss Remedies Start With Prevention

Lose weightYou’ve heard it once, and you’ll hear it from me again: the best of the natural weight loss remedies are things that you can start doing RIGHT NOW and that are absolutely free.  The problem is that many people lack the self discipline and control to lose weight.

When it comes to diet, it is all about portion control.  Controlling the amount of foods you eat at first can make this one of the most difficult amongst the natural weight loss remedies, so the key to starting this one is to choose whole foods.  Whole foods, such as lean chicken, tofu and leafy greens and nuts will fill you up much more quickly than a packet of french fries, so you will not feel the need to eat as much.

Keeping yourself hydrated and drinking water is another great piece of advice amongst the other natural weight loss remedies.  Did you know that when you feel those hunger pangs your body is often really just asking for a tall glass of water?  Water will also help keep you feeling full, without the calories!

Running, walking and swimming are three other natural remedies that you may want to consider taking up to help lose weight.  Even parking a few rows back in a parking lot or walking up the stairs to your office are easy ways to add a bit more exercise to your daily routine.

Spice Up Your Foods

dry gingerDid you know that eating spicy foods can actually help you lose weight?  It has been proven that the capsaicin in cayenne pepper is actually very effective at helping burn off calories.  Some other spices to try as natural weight loss remedies include black pepper, dry ginger, and cinnamon.  Try using these added ingredients to a number of your dishes to help melt off the pounds!

An Apple A Day Keeps The Pounds Away?

Okay, not literally an apple – but apple cider vinegar can certainly be one of the most effective natural weight loss remedies around! This homeopathic cure consists of 2 tsp. of organic apple cider diluted in 16 ounces of distilled water.  Drink this concoction up to 3 times a day.

Keep Up With Your Vitamin B

I hope that these tips help you and your valentine accomplish your weight loss goals.  As with any lifestyle change, if you are considering using some natural weight loss remedies, be sure to discuss this with your health practitioner to ensure that the  remedies you plan to use are appropriate for you.
